Slow Walker

I knew I was a slow walker, but I guess I didn't realize how slow I really am. Whenever I walk with Paul I have to jog to keep up, but that is the case with most people that walk with Paul. The other day it dawned on me just how slow I walk when I was going from class to class and there was a girl that was passing me on my left and she had a walking cast...she broke her foot yet still walks faster than I do...sheeesh.

Eisley

My new roommate's name is Heather. Oddly enough we also live in a housing complex named Heather Heights. I decided that it would be less confusing for our apartment if I went by a different name. I don't have a middle name so it was up to me to choose a new name. Eisley is the name of a band I really like and the name is also attractive and so I decided to take it on as a nickname that everyone in my ward will call me and even some people at work who have decided to call me Eisley instead of Heather. When I hear people call me Eisley it's like I am a different person....it's a weird sensation. Along with the new name comes a new person. I've decided that Eisley is a pre-med student and is awesome at tennis...haha ok ok I'll still be a poli sci major that only rocks at wii tennis.

My roommates were not happy with each other and both were threatening to move out. There was a lot of emotions and I was in the middle. I didn't take a side because I would be moving out soon, but I agree more with Suzanne. During the fighting period that lasted about a week I went to Suzanne's work to drop her off some candy to help her get through her 12 hour night shift at the hospital. She works as a CNA in the labor and delivery area where they keep the sick babies. To get to this part of the hospital you have to go up an elevator and then you step out into a hallway and from there you must be buzzed in by a secretary on the other side of the door. Suzanne came out to chat and ended up spending a good 20 min. venting to me about the roommate situation. Suzanne can get very passionate and animated and I was trying to be the peace keeper and at the same time validate her feelings. The next day she told me that there are several video cameras in the hallway where we were talking and all her coworkers were watching the video camera- which is there to see who needs buzzed in- and they saw us apparently fighting. They thought Suzanne was going to punch me or something and they were debating whether or not to come break it up. HA! She told them when she came back that she wasn't mad at me at all and that it was a different roommate that she was upset with. Being caught on camera is funny and even more funny if misinterpreted.

The other day I was over at Brandecca’s holding Calvin and all that and I was telling them about how I have to do my first take home exam later that day and how we weren’t even supposed to have the test cuz the teacher said he didn’t think we needed to take it. Becca chimmed in and jokingly said, “And then you spoke up and was like no please teacher give us the test.” I looked at both of them and was like I know you’re just joking but actually that’s not too far from the truth. They looked at me like I was crazy and started to freak out and say things like they were embarrassed to be related to me and other things and then I stopped them and said that it’s not as bad as it sounds and they should let me explain. What happened is that the teacher was contemplating not giving us the exam and everyone was like yeah no test but then the teacher who I really want to like me cuz he has control of my grade and cuz I think he’s adorable turned to me and said,”Heather, what do you think” I panicked and I verbally vomited….”well, if it will help me on future exams I’d appreciate it.” He was like you’re right we’ll still have the test but it will be a treat for you guys cuz it’s so easy. I turned around to see all 6 of my fellow class mates staring at me with their jaws dropped giving me this look that screamed…did you really just make it so we have to take the test?!?! I mouthed I’m sorry to them and they didn’t beat me up after class or anything. Sometimes having tests can prepare you for the final and hopefully I scored brownie points with my professor. After I explained all this to Brandecca I expected them to say oh that makes more sense but they said….Nope it’s just as bad as we thought it was and continued to tease me for me such a ridicules suck up.

I can't believe all the abuse from everyone trying to get me to blog more! Here you go...I've been trying to go and donate plasma for the longest time due to the encouragement of friends and the lure of 60 bucks a week. Something always seems to go wrong. One time I didn't have my SS card, then my tendent was covering my vain, and this last time they found out I had an endoscopy 5 1/2 months ago and you need a 6 months grace period before you donate in case you have internal bleeding. I'm guessing next time my vain will just collapse or something horrible that will finally make me give up. I don't understand why this isn't working out for me...it's not like I'm trying to take some dangerous experimental drug or something crazy like that...wink, wink, I just want them to take my plasma and sell it to the highest bidder, dangit!

Even though I will never be good at it, I decided that I should try and be a better blogger. My friend sent me this picture today saying that she and her husband went to the beach one day to get some sun, but the rednecks beat them to it. They watched them do this for awhile in hopes to see them do any sweet jumps but it didn't happen. I can still post funny stories even though it didn't happen to me.

Bus Stop Adventures

After work yesterday I stopped at the store and picked up some groceries. I had four bags when I left the store...I remember this vividly since I bagged them myself. However, when I was walking home from the bus stop I only had three and so I assumed that I had left one on the bus by mistake. Today after work I was talking to Mom and did not stop at the store but headed straight to the bus stop to go home. I was sitting there chatting and waiting when I dropped something on the ground and as I went to pick it up I found my bag of yogurt that I had left the day before. It was untouched except from the sunrays beating down upon it. I took it home anyway to through away even though it was painful since that was 6 bucks worth of yogurt, but for some reason I felt right being the one to through it away as if balance was now brought to earth.
